Ok, this has nothing to do with enterprise or business for that matter, but this bugged me and took me too long to find information on so hopefully this helps someone trying to do the same thing. I have a home server currently running Windows Server 2016 that runs my PLEX media server as well as a Minecraft server for a few friends and I. I decided that since I was barely using any resources on said server, I might as well put a little more stress on it! I decided to run a Space Engineers dedicated server because that’s the current survival game that I’m into. I attempted to follow the instruction on the official wiki here but I found that while the Steam command line did download the server, it wouldn’t run. After searching for info and checking event logs, I found one mention on a Steam forum from a few years ago stating that you need to sign into Steam to run a server, anonymous download doesn’t work. Sure enough, I downloaded and installed the full client, created a separate Steam account from main to run it on and it worked! The trick was to run the Steam command in a browser so I didn’t have to purchase the game twice…
